LEADERSHIP AND MANAGEMENT

We are very fortunate to have some of the regions most respected school leaders within our Trust who have significant expertise in running high performing schools and in supporting those in need of improvement.

Our Chief Executive, Adrian Rogers, was previously the Headteacher of the Robert Bloomfield Academy in Central Bedfordshire for 13 years – a three times ‘Outstanding’, 1,000 pupil Academy. During the last four years of his tenure he was also: Executive Principal of a six school Multi Academy Trust. Head of Central Beds Teaching School serving 138 schools.

Adrian is a National Leader of Education and over the last ten years, he has supported a large number of schools, at both primary and secondary level. As a Trust we only employ the very best teachers and leaders and we have a rigorous recruitment programme that helps to ensure that we meet these aims.

Governance

The Trust is led by a highly experienced Board of Directors, schools with Adrian Rogers as Chief Executive. The members of the board and trustees have extensive experience of education and corporate governance and a shared desire for high standards and excellence in all that we do. Each school within the Trust also has its own local governing body.

The Board of Directors has overall responsibility for strategic planning and the setting of policies. It is managed through business planning, monitoring of budgets, performance management, the setting of standards and the implementation of quality management processes. The Directors have the power to direct change where required.

In order to discharge these responsibilities, the Directors appoint people who are more locally based to serve on a board called the “Local Governing Body” which is established to ensure the good governance of the academy. The Directors delegate various agreed functions to the Local Governing Body.

Achievement and standards

We are committed to excellent standards of teaching and also work in partnership with a variety of local and national organisations to help raise the attainment of all learners whilst contributing towards the self-improving system and the development of high quality teachers entering the profession.

The schools and organisations within our Trust have a long and established history of excellence and achievement. Kingsland Academy will be built around the success of the two founder schools;
